There is snow on the ground and the temperature is struggling to be above 0°F, so it sounds like a great day to warm up with a bowl of soup. I don't know about all of you, but my family and I have soup probably once a week during the winter. I love how soup can be simple or complex, fast or slow. I love the smell of Chili cooking in the crock-pot all day, but I love how simple and fast my Mom's Broccoli Cheese Soup or my Fiesta Pork Soup can come together for an easy weeknight meal.
Since today is National Soup Swap Day, consider throwing your own Soup Swap Party with friends, family or neighbors by having everyone bring a giant batch of their favorite soup, along with enough containers that everyone can take home part of everyone's soup and copies of each soup's recipe. What a fun way to enjoy different soups all winter long!

ReplyDeleteWaiting for a bus in rural Cornwall, you know the type, one every two hours. I was freezing. Pulled out my mobile and tried spinogambino . I’ve heard mixed reviews, but it worked fine for me. Played roulette. I bet on my birthday numbers. Number 12 came up. I couldn't believe it. The bus finally arrived, and I boarded with a spring in my step and enough cash for a hearty Cornish pasty dinner later on.
