A goal of mine this summer (and items on our Summer Bucket List)
was to spend time with not just the kid's grandparents,
but their great-grandparents too.
Here is a quick look at some of the adventures
we've had with our family this month!

MP and LP went on a train ride with their Great Grandma M LP loves trains and loved going on the Boone Scenic Valley Railroad train ride! |
We went to the Iowa State Fair with Papa T Here MP, LP and Papa T are enjoying some Dairy Barn Ice Cream! |
What a great thing---getting to know the grands is something that your kids will always take with them. We never lived close to our grandparents growing up (the downside of being a preacher's kid) and weekend visits were out of the question usually but we tried to make the effort with our boys. Distance is hard but with technology it is easier to maintain those relationships. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know I loved knowing one set of my grandparents and a set of great-grandparents very well growing up. I have so many memories with them. I think it is special that my kids have all four grandparents and three great-grandparents!
