It is a new month and time for a new cause to support. But before I get into the details for March, I'd first like to talk about last month. During the month of February I had 81 comments, creating a donation of $40.50 for Room to Read. Thanks for helping me support childhood literacy worldwide.
In the month of March I am paying tribute to my late friend Amy by supporting a cause she was very supportive of, the Children's Tumor Foundation. For the last couple of years Amy participated in the Mason City Cupid's Undie Run, which is a fundraiser for CTF. She had so much fun at this event and always was encouraging more people to join her. So I am joining her now in spirit by donating $0.50 for every comment on my blog during the month to the Children's Tumor Foundation.

The Cupid's Undie Run takes place every year on Valentine's Day, where millions of people strip down to their skivvies and run for kids with NF. Amy wrote a great blog post about her experience after this year's run that you should check out, along with a video she made after the event:
Have you ever heard of Cupid's Undie Run? Or do you know anyone who has NF? Be sure to comment all month long to not only help kids with NF, but also to help me honor Amy. Remember to Comment for a Cause!
The STL Porsche Club used to sponsor The Children's Tumor Foundation. It is a great organization. I drove one of the little girls in my car to a CTF fashion show fundraiser. We also had a group of kids ride in our cars with us in the STL St. Patrick's Day Parade. Glad to see you are donating to this worthy cause.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl. I was unaware of the organization until finding out about Cupid's Undie Run.
DeleteI love this and think it's a great way to honor Amy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna! I think we will all need to run in the Cupid's Undie Run next year.
DeleteYes, my family also has not very good genetics and we have some diseases that we have to deal with in everyday life. To do this, it is important to engage in disease prevention, as advised by my therapist. He also advised me, if necessary, to call the Hairfinity phone number and ask their support service for help if needed. I used to manage on my own, but lately, due to events in the world, it has become very difficult to do.
ReplyDeleteI've been on the lookout for something to spruce up my table setting, and I found these exquisite 6-inch white round lace paper doilies! They are not only elegant but also eco-friendly. They add a vintage touch to any event, and the best part is they're disposable, so there's no need to worry about cleanup. I'm genuinely pleased with my purchase. You can find them here: https://mcdonaldpaper.com/safepro-bp91pf-9-inch-pfas-free-bagasse-compostable-round-plate-500-cs/. The quality is top-notch, and they really make a difference in presentation!
ReplyDeleteI've always been interested in understanding health issues, and chronic injuries are no exception. It's quite difficult to find resources that explain these things in detail without getting too technical. However, I found this site - https://ways2well.com/blog/the-benefits-of-blood-tests-for-personalized-weight-loss-plans - and let me tell you, it's a goldmine. It offers detailed information about chronic injuries and their various aspects. There's even advice about prevention and management. This site has been a great help in my quest for knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree that productivity is key to becoming a successful writer. It’s not always easy to stay on track, but finding the right resources can make a huge difference. If you're also struggling with math assignments, there's a great service which can help with math homework https://essayservice.com/do-my-math-homework. It’s really useful when you’re short on time and need some extra help with difficult problems.
