Father's Day is in just two weeks and my Celebrate 365 co-hosts (Carlee from Cooking with Carlee, Jan of The Tip Garden and Nicole of Tales of a Kansas Farm Mom) and I thought one great way to celebrate Dad and summer was to do a blog party full of everyone's favorite grilling recipes.
One of my favorite things to grill are burgers. They're easy to make, are always a crowd pleaser, and you can get really creative with not only the burger, but the toppings too. One of my favorite burger creations is my Cardinal & Gold Cream Cheese Burger. I use my go-to burger patty recipe as the foundation and then I top it with a grilled pepper and cream cheese topping! Plus, the burger pays homage to mine and my husband's alma mater, Iowa State University.
Another favorite of my family's for the grill are Hobo Packets. We especially love making these when we go camping. These foil meal packets start off with a couple slices of bacon, a layer of potatoes, a burger, onions on top, and seasonal vegetables on the side. Clean up is a breeze too as everything is cooked in the aluminum foil.
