Our 9th Annual Iowa Ice Cream Road Trip kicked off last weekend at Mill Creek Concessions in Paullina, Iowa. This seasonal ice cream and concessions stand has been serving visitors, campers, hikers and swimmers at Mill Creek State Park since 2009.
Located right next to the swimming area and beach at Mill Creek State Park, Mill Creek Concessions has a large menu offering hot food and sweet treats! When we visited we were all about the ice cream but I will admit their wrap, tavern and snack menu made me wish we would have stopped for a full meal!
On the sweet side of their menu, Mill Creek Concessions offers soft serve cones, sundaes, shakes, malts, floats, whips and storms. They also make ice cream cakes!
Our family chose a variety of Storm flavors and agreed that the Monster Cookie and S'mores were our favorites! The ice cream was creamy and full of flavor, and the amount of mix-ins added to their Storms was just the right amount.

What a fun place to cool off while visiting Mill Creek State Park or to make a special visit just for a sweet treat!
If you are in Northwest Iowa or O'Brien County be sure to check out Mill Creek Concessions in Paullina. They are open around mid-May through around Labor Day, seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
