People have been telling us for years to go check out The Filling Station in Madrid, Iowa and we finally made a trip this summer and it won't be our last! There's something for everyone at this seasonal ice cream shop that serves both hard and soft serve ice cream.
Since 2007, this little ice cream shop has been serving locals and those traveling on two wheels, as The Filling Station sits just a block from the High Trestle Trail, a variety of sweet treat options every summer. They offer both hard and soft serve ice cream, along with specialties, flurries, shakes and malts.

This was a fun place for our family to stop and we recommend you check it our when you're in the Central Iowa area too. We had quick, friendly service on our visit and gave it a double thumbs up!
