Looking for a quick and easy dish to bring to your next potluck or holiday gathering? Try my four ingredient Oreo Fluff Salad! It's always a hit with all ages!
The funny thing about this "salad" is that it really should be classified as a dessert, but in true Midwest potluck fashion, you'll find it served alongside all the side salads. I'll admit, I do the same - setting it out with the salads instead of the desserts! But let's be honest, three of the four ingredients are classic dessert staples: Oreos, pudding, and whipped topping...
My kids request this for every church potluck and holiday dinner. While I say it's for the kids, you'll catch scoops of it on plates of every age group. It's the perfect summer salad or holiday side dish that everyone loves.
What I love most is how simple it is to make, and you can easily prepare it ahead of time. I recommend using a food processor to crush the Oreos for an even texture.
Oreo Fluff Salad
- 3 cups milk
- 2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant vanilla pudding
- 2 (8 oz) tubs whipped topping
- 1 family-sized package of original Oreos, crushed
Instructions
Mix the milk and pudding together until it begins to thicken.
Stir in the whipped topping, then gently fold in the crushed Oreos until well combined.
Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving, or until you're ready to serve. This dish can easily be made the night before, and any leftovers (if there are any!) will keep well in the fridge for a few days.
Whether you call it a salad or a dessert, it's always a crowd-pleaser. What do you think—salad or dessert?
I could not believe i had never made this till last month. The recipe given me was different and actually called for marshmallows. I think this is more like what my sister always made.
ReplyDeleteThis is the "classic" version that I have been making for years! Hope you give it a try.
