The Bristow Ice Cream Shack is in its third year of operation and keeps growing every year. The summertime Ice Cream Stand sits in this small (population 160) Butler County town's Memorial Park, which is home to their Splash Pad and Playground. After arriving our kids weren't sure what to do first they were so excited - get ice cream, check out the Splash Pad or explore the playground. We did start with trying some of their ice cream and were very pleased.

The Bristow Ice Cream Shack offers a variety of soft serve ice cream treats including shakes & malts, sundaes, dishes & cones, root beer floats and new to the menu this year Bristow Blenders and pup-cups! They also serve some concession snacks. They are open Wednesday through Sunday 4:00-8:00 p.m. and the money earned from the stand supports the Bristow Betterment community organization.

Miss R & Miss A enjoyed their ice cream on the swing at the park. The kids were also excited and checked out the Little Free Library by the swing. |
The kids were all about the chocolate ice cream and had it in almost every form possible - milkshake, cone and in a Bristow Blender with cookie dough mixed in. I was lucky to try a few bites they were willing to share and can vouch that it was smooth and delicious! I went with the recommended homemade hot fudge sundae. The sundae hit the spot and had just the right hot fudge to ice cream ratio so every bite of ice cream had a little bit of topping with it. Next time we go I'm going to try their popular Black Raspberry Shake!

The Bristow Ice Cream Shack is the perfect place to stop on an afternoon bike ride while on the Rolling Prairie Trail, or a sweet treat while cooling off at the Bristow Splash Pad, or a fun evening out with the family. We saw several families enjoying their after supper dessert the day we went and enjoying a nice night at the park.
Have you ever been to the Bristow Ice Cream Shack? Our kids now think every park should have its own ice cream stand...
We really need to steal your summer ice cream tour tradition. I love it 💕
