I grew up near the town of Jewell, Iowa and will admit over the last 12 years since owners Mike and Jan Miller opened their homemade ice cream stand, I have tried multiple times to grab a sweet treat on my way back home but wasn't successful until Week 4 of the 2020 Iowa Ice Cream Road Trip. Sweet Treats is located on the east edge of Jewell and is open nightly from 6 to 9 p.m.
Sweet Treats makes over 50 flavors of homemade ice cream. Each night they rotate 10-15 of those flavors and you can always check their Facebook page to see what is available that night. Our family all thought their homemade chocolate ice cream was rich and delicious! I had a double scoop of the Chocolate with their top-seller Salted Caramel.
Sweet Treats homemade ice cream is made daily onsite, next door to the stand in the Miller's machine shed. There is a nice seating area with tables, chairs, picnic tables and swings available so you can sit down and enjoy your ice cream while visiting with family and friends.

We enjoyed our visit & ice cream at Sweet Treats and hope to meet with family & friends there again! What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
